Sexual abuse case postponed

A 44-YEAR-OLD Delmas, Mpumalanga, man arrested on allegations of sexually abusing teenage boys and possession of pornographic material had his case postponed to later this week.

The father of two children, arrested last Wednesday. Heappeared in the Delmas magistrate's court on Friday. The suspect was responsible for youth affairs at a local church where his alleged victims were also members.

He allegedly invited his two victims, aged 15 and 16, to his house, where he allegedly touched their private parts and encouraged them to touch his.

He also took photos of the victims' private parts using his cellphone camera.

He also showed them pornographic material and masturbated with them.

Delmas police spokesperson Constable Ntombifuthi Mashiane confirmed the case, saying it was postponed to Thursday for further investigation.

Mashiane said the police received a complaint about one of the victim's strange behaviour and on investigation they established that he was being sexually abused.

She said the police suspect that he could have sexually abused more children and urged such victims to come forward.

According to Mashiane the police confiscated two laptops, DVDs containing pornographic material and a cellphone.
