The delegation will be led by Premier Nomvula Mokonyane, who will be accompanied by MEC for sport, arts, culture and recreation Nelisiwe Moerane.
Department of sport, arts, culture and recreation media officer Tumelo Taunyane said the aim of the roadshow was to mobilise support for the World Cup.
It is a joint initiative between the provincial government and Transnet.
The event takes place at the Zone 14 shops opposite Mphalalatsane Theatre.
Mokonyane and company will also visit schools, churches and malls in all Gauteng regions until the beginning of the World Cup.
"The Gauteng provincial government is using this opportunity to interact directly with our communities and to galvanise support for our national team," Moerane said yesterday.
"We are also implementing the Gauteng 2010 Gateway campaign launched by the premier as our social mobilisation programme to create hype around the 2010 World Cup."
The activities during the roadshows will include ball juggling, diski dance, face painting, five-a-side soccer tournaments and coaching clinics conducted by soccer legends including Philemon "Chippa" Masinga.
There will also be musical entertainment by top local artists during the events.
