SOWETAN Health Reporter Zinhle Mapumulo, pictured, was last night named the Discovery Best Health News Reporting Awardwinner at a ceremony in Rosebank last night .
She had been nominated twice in the category but she scooped the award for her story titled 'Doctor left my mom in the theatre after cutting her open.'
"I am truly honoured to have received this award. I was paired with some of the best health reporters in the industry but I managed to come out tops.
"I am grateful to my editors and colleagues for the support they gave me while pursuing this story," Mapumulo said.
