AT the end of the third week of the Join the Voice campaign between Avusa and Vodacom, popular DJs have given their support.

The campaign is aimed at encouraging South Africans to support Bafana Bafana during the World Cup.

The plan is to collect 10million SMSes to qualify for entry in the Guinness Book of Records. So far, over 50000 SMSes have been received.

The messages will appear in Avusa's six major newspapers: Sowetan, The Times, The Herald, Dispatch, Sunday World and Sunday Times.

Legendary DJ and owner of record label Kalawa Jazmee Oskido said: "I will only support African teams. Bafana tops my list without hesitation. My message for our boys, though, is that as soon as they put on that jersey and get on the field, you should do it with pride and be aware of the meaning of it all."

Award-winning Durban-based DJ Tira said: "I will be at the stadium to cheer on Bafana. My message to the boys is that they should go and entertain the world. We Africans are entertainers and the world should see that."

DJ What What said: "Of course I will be there. I want to see the likes of Bafana Bafana and Spain in action. A message for our boys? They have been practising hard and we'd love to see the end results."

Durban-based DJ C'ndo said: "I might be out of the country at some stage but I will be back to catch up, especially on Bafana Bafana. They should know that we are behind them and they should do their best."

DJ Glen Lewis said: "I have 10 confirmed games including the opening match.

"I have a lot of confidence in Bafana Bafana since I believe nothing is impossible. Anything can happen."
