INCREASING the vibe of the World Cup is the primary objective of the My 2010 Schools Adventure as pupils from all nine provinces take part in the competition's national championships.

Pupils from primary and secondary schools will converge on Marks Park in Johannesburg from tomorrow until Sunday, gunning for the national titles in Under-14, Under-18 and open categories.

The schools that won the My 2010 Schools provincial championships have secured themselves tickets for some of the World Cup matches in their areas.

Meanwhile in Limpopo, Northern Academy will try to set a record at the Diski Dance in Polokwane tomorrow. Event coordinator Christa Strydom said they aimed to have more than 3500 learners taking part in the dance, which will intensify the 2010 vibe.

Another related activity will be hosted by Motlokwe Primary School in Sekhukhune district, also tomorrow. The school's sports organiser, Pulamosegare Mokgwatsane, said pupils from schools nearby will take part in a 5km parade as part of the campaign to raise awareness of the World Cup.
