The additional sites will benefit soccer fans in Giyani and Tzaneen. The project is a provincial government initiative, in conjunction with Boxer Super Stores. The supermarket chain has also installed nine public viewing areas in other parts of the country.

The other five sites in Limpopo are in NkowaNkowa, Ntwampi sports grounds in the Sekhukhune area, Eldorado in the Capricorn district, Ga-Shongwane in the Waterberg district and at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Premier Cassel Mathale promised that there would be transport to the public viewing areas.
