This is part of Prasa's preparations for the 2010 World Cup and beyond for its Metrorail division, an official supporter of Fifa.
Led by chief executive Tumisang Kgaboesele, Metrorail is focusing on improving safety and security, cleanliness and service. Prasa is working with the police on security measures but will also have 2665 officers patrolling trains and stations.

"We are more than ready for the World Cup," Kgaboesele said.
The Premier Classe was introduced in 2001 with four coaches accommodating 24 guests. It became a dedicated luxury train in 2006. The new train was introduced in 2007, catering for 126 guests.
For the World Cup, Prasa has introduced the "Get a ticket and ride for free" promotion for holders of valid match tickets.
