RANDBURG'S Spurs FC have qualified to represent South Africa at the Kia "Champ into the Arena" World Finals in Johannesburg in July.

They achieved this feat after beating Tamasa from Soweto 4-3 in Randburg on Sunday.

The global finals of this quadrennial five-a-side tournament, which is held in World Cup years, will be played at the Wanderers Sports Centre.

Spurs have won tickets to a selected World Cup match.

Club captain Raphique Hassim said: "It's a great honour for us to win this tournament and it boosts football development in Randburg. We have a sound development programme that we want to augment."

Former Bafana captain Neil Tovey was among the sports personalities present.
