SEOUL, South Korea - Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung and Monaco forward Park Chu-young have been included in South Korea's preliminary 30-man World Cup squad.

South Korea coach Huh Jung-moon says he will trim the squad to 23 after they face Ecuador in Seoul on May 16.

The star of the 2002 team, Ahn Jung-hwan, was also chosen yesterday and will be vying for a third World Cup appearance. Goalkeeper Lee Woon-jae could make his fourth appearance, but former Fulham midfielder Seol Ki-hyeon was left out because he is still recovering from a knee operation. - Sapa-AP
