PARIS - SOUTH Africa World Cup captain and defender Aaron "Mbazo" Mokoena and his Bafana Bafana teammate Kagisho Dikgacoi were given game time when their sides played at the weekend.

Though Mokoena, who plays for the relegated Portsmouth, was substituted at half time against Wolves by Tommy Smith, should be ready for the team's final Premiership fixture at Everton next Sunday and the FA Cup final against Chelsea on May 15 at Wembley.

Dikgacoi played 90 minutes as Roy Hodgson's Fulham maintained the feel-good factor from their Europa League run by defeating West Ham 3-2.

Other African starts fared as follows:

ENGLAND

Didier Drogba (Chelsea) - The Ivory Coast striker scored his 33rd goal of the season to help Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-0.

FRANCE

Mamadou Niang (Marseille) - The Senegal striker drew a blank as his side were frustrated against Auxerre in a goalless stalemate. That frustration helped to bring him a booking but he remains joint league top scorer with 15 goals.

GERMANY

ITALY

Samuel Eto'o (Inter Milan) - The Cameroon star appeared jaded against Lazio.
