The accident on the R550 between a Ford Sierra and Ford Focus occurred on Saturday at about 8pm.
Two people from each car died on the scene and others were taken to the Heidelberg Hospital.
Though the cause of the crash was not clear, preliminary investigations revealed one of the vehicles tried to overtake on a blind spot before the crash. - Sapa
