"I have been told not to speak to the media," said Franscina Sekhu, who did not say who gave her the instruction.
But she stressed that she would want to go home and rest once she was discharged from hospital. "I don't know if my employers would want me to come back to work immediately," she said.
'Glad to be alive'
Speaking from her bed at Helen Joseph Hospital yesterday, Sekhu from Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria, told Sowetan that she was grateful that she was still alive.
"I am happy I survived the attack," she said.
She said she has a 14-year-old daughter and feels the pain Marzaan Kruger's mother is going through. Marzaan is the one-year-old baby that she looks after. The two were attacked on Thursday. "I would like to see how she is doing," she said.
Sekhu said she was getting better but was still in pain.
She has a wound on her forehead and the head. Her eyes are swollen and red.
She said her relatives and her employers have come to see her at the hospital.
"It makes you feel better when you have visitors."
Suspects in court
Two men Nelson Maphosa, 25, and Gerald Nyantumbo, 28, appeared in the Johannesburg magistrate's court on Monday and were charged with aggravated robbery and attempted murder.
The case was postponed for further investigations.
Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Opperman said police have identified Chakhoma Machaba, 28, as their third suspect.
Opperman said Machaba was well known in Soweto and Alexandra.
"Anybody with information about the whereabouts of Machaba should contact the police on 08600-10111. People may also use the Crime Line number 32211," he said.
Opperman said Machaba allegedly has violent tendencies and the public should not confront him directly.
