Simelane has been at the helm of the country's public prosecutions for less than a year and has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
About a month ago he controversially told state prosecutors in the Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye murder trial not to oppose the bail application of the hip-hop artist.
Following that he went on to ruffle more feathers by ordering the "reassignment" of the country's top high courts prosecutors to lower courts.
In his latest rantings he is reportedly planning to "disband" the leading crime-busting assets forfeiture unit, a move that has made Radebe see red.
The move has resulted in the unit's head, Willie Hofmeyr, saying Simelane needed a refresher course in law.
