Usuthu coach Neil Tovey told Sowetan yesterday that they were taking the game so seriously that they even brought in a psychologist to talk to the players before the match.
"Considering that we won our last match against them 4-0 at the same venue, we have decided to bring in a sport psychologist to help the players. We don't want them to be overconfident and complacent," Tovey said.
Tovey also acknowledged that there was as much chance of them repeating the same performance that saw them overcome Swallows 4-0 in the league last season.
"It is not going to be easy against Swallows but we are going there with a win in mind, otherwise there would not be a point of competing. We will give it our best shot because we want to go all the way," he said.
Swallows coach Rainer Zobel, on the other hand, would have the public believing that he is under no pressure to win the Nedbank Cup but the truth is he has to do well.
The Beautiful Birds are the defending champions and despite the German coach's public statements that he is not feeling the heat, the fans will expect nothing but a good run in the tournament.
"I am not under pressure because I was not in charge of the team when they won the Cup. I have a relatively young team and we are under no pressure at all," Zobel said.
But the side's supporters, who have seen their club playing second fiddle to fellow Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, will not take kindly to that.
Zobel will once again look at young sensation Augustine Leonard, whose brace last week sent Lamontville Golden Arrows crashing out of the tournament, while Dumisani Ngwenya be Usuthu's main danger man.
