Sergeant Sam Tshabalala said Lazarus Ndlovu, 25, a Zimbabwean, and John Radebe, 34, were released on R500 bail each.
Their case was postponed to May 13 for further investigation.
Tshabalala said the two were arrested on Friday after they allegedly attempted to cash a cheque at a bank.
"The bank teller became suspicious of the cheque and went to verify it. It was found that the R3300 cheque was cashed two weeks ago in Heidelberg. Police were called and they were arrested." - Sapa
