Reebok Squad finished the season top of Stream A in the SAB Regional League with 44 points but third-placed side Bakubung BK United lodged a complaint about Reebok's failure to field a minimum of five Under-21 players - a league requirement.
Club chairperson Mike Makganye feels the procedure followed when the points were deducted was unfair.
"We were treated unfairly. Bakubung were third, with 41 points and were later given four points and they ended up with 45 points. What I would like to know is how did they come to that decision and why were they given four points," Makganye said.
He said they had problems meeting the quota for U-21 players because "the law was passed in the second round of the season and we had already signed our players, some of whom were over 21 and there was nothing we could do".
He also said he suspects that one of the region's administrators could be working in cahoots with Bakubung to help them to the playoffs.
"One of the administrators is usually at Bakubung's games and I suspect that he is the one encouraging them to do what they are doing."
Safa Bojanala region general secretary Paseka Nkone said he was advised by their lawyers not to comment until the matter was settled.
