Olomu warns United

BLOEMFONTEIN Celtic dangerman and Nigerian citizen Prince Olomu has some friendly advice for SuperSport United ahead of their away clash against Heartland.

BLOEMFONTEIN Celtic dangerman and Nigerian citizen Prince Olomu has some friendly advice for SuperSport United ahead of their away clash against Heartland.

"Send someone ahead of the team to smooth things over before the match," Olomu said.

United will welcome the Nigerian champions to Rand Stadium on Sunday, in the first leg of this round of the African Champions League before visiting the Nigerians at home in a fortnight.

With unpleasant memories of being kicked out of the Nedbank Cup still fresh, United will not want to exit the continental competition any time soon, if only because their pride dictates it.

One of the favourite tricks employed on the continent when the stakes are high, is the two-hour bus ride that miraculously stretches to five hours.

Olomu said Gavin Hunt's men would also do well not to expect a "Loftus Stadium pitch".
