LAGOS - Nigeria coach Lars Lagerback will rely on experience at the World Cup after he selected the bulk of the country's squad to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola earlier this year for a training camp in England from next Tuesday.

The only absentees from Nigeria's squad to Angola 2010 are injured fullback Yusuf Mohammed and Obinna Nwaneri, who is without a club.

There are only two uncapped players picked - Brown Ideye from Sochaux and Michael Odibe, who features for Siena in Italy.

There was also a recall for Tunisia-based striker Michael Eneramo, who was dropped at the last minute for the Nations Cup in favour of Hoffenheim striker Chinedu Obasi. Other players recalled are Austria-based defender Rabiu Afolabi, Everton striker Victor Anichebe, John Utaka of Portsmouth as well as Onyekachi Okonkwo of FC Zurich. Ahmed Musa, who has scored 15 goals for Kano Pillars this season, leads the players from the domestic league who will now battle for places at the World Cup.

The others are goalkeeper Bassey Akpan, Terna Suswan, Gabriel Rueben, Solomon Okpako and Bartholomew Ibenegbu. - Sapa-AFP
