AUSTRALIA - Cricket authorities in Australia are monitoring the security situation following a double bomb blast at an Indian Premier League stadium in Bangalore on Saturday.

Indian police said two bombs exploded outside Chinnaswamy Stadium, injuring 10 people. The twin blasts took place just before a match between Bangalore and Mumbai.

The Twenty20 game, featuring Indian stars Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble, started an hour late amid increased security.

Spokesperson for Cricket Australia Peter Young said they were pleased that no Australians were injured in the blasts, and would await IPL advice on the security situation. - Sapa-AP
