This was after he become the first recipient of the over-the-counter ticket sales for the 2010 Fifa World Cup at the Sandton ticketing centre yesterday.
Dadabhay was immediately interviewed by local and foreign media, the majority of whom have started arriving in South Africa to cover the World Cup.
He paid R14700 for various tickets, including each for the opening and closing ceremonies at Soccer City on June 11 and July 11, respectively.
"I arrived here at the ticketing centre with my friend, Imraan Kotwal, at 1pm on Wednesday to make sure we did not miss out on this golden opportunity to buy World Cup tickets.
"I feel good that I was the first person in the queue, and more importantly managed to get World Cup tickets. I wanted more but I'm waiting to hear from the people at the centre.
"I want at least 20 tickets for my family, friends and relatives. To wind away time, we spent the night playing soccer, cards, eating and just chatting.
"The long wait was worth it. I now have most of the tickets that I wanted," said Dadabhay, who expects his favourite country Germany to win the World Cup.
"I'm a South African but I don't see Bafana Bafana going that further. I think reaching the quarterfinals will be a great achievement.
"I know many people are not giving Germany a chance, but I think the team will shock by winning the World Cup. I will be there to support them all the way," said Dadabhay.
Randburg resident Nkanyiso Mpofu, who also spent the night at the ticketing centre, said: "I was fourth in the queue after arriving here at 2pm on Wednesday.
"I spent R1680 buying available category four tickets where African teams are involved. There was nothing for Bafana Bafana for category four tickets, they are all sold out."
