Rare offer for fleet operators

FLEET operators, dealers and transport hauliers will find the upcoming Park Village truck, trailer and yellow metal auction an excellent opportunity to acquire good quality equipment.

LeRoy Augustyn, Operations Manager of the company said the equipment will be sold at prices that are significantly below 'new'.

"The inventory on offer is of a very high standard and in keeping with the pattern of our previous auctions this year, we expect strong demand and some brisk bidding.

"Indeed, there will be some great opportunities to be had at the sale which includes a wide selection of yellow metal equipment, truck tractors, trailers, freight carriers, tractors and LDVs.

The auction takes place at the Park Village Auctions truck yard, Nasrec showground (new entrance) (next to gate 2), Rand Show Road, Johannesburg South on April 22, at 10.30am.

Viewing will take place on April 21, from 10am to 4pm.

The inventory includes Bell, JCB and Hyundai loaders, Skidsteer loaders, excavators, tipper trucks, Toyota Dyna freight carriers, Volvo and MAN truck tractors.

Of particular note at the auction among the yellow metal inventory is the Atlas Copco ROCLH/64 drill rig.

Augustyn said this heavy duty equipment had a price tag of millions if sold new.

Also expected to be in strong demand as always are the truck tractors, trailers and slopers. "These have become stock items at our sales and demand is seemingly endless." he added.

"It's common knowledge that the economy is bottoming out. But even as this happens there are still casualties in the transport and yellow metal sectors that are generating stock for auction.

"For bidders the good news is that the quality of these assets is exceptional and no doubt this accounts for the support our sales have received to date."
