BAFANA Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has rewarded Moroka Swallows' in-form attacker Siyabonga "Bhele" Nomvethe by roping him into the squad for the training camp in Germany.

The veteran striker has regained his magic scoring form over the past two months, helping Swallows finish in the top eight. Parreira said he decided to include Nomvethe based on his massive international experience, after having represented Bafana 72 times.

"I know Nomvethe has been doing well at his club. He has been there before (at international level) and it's all about experience," said Parreira after naming the 25-member squad to tour Germany.

Nomvethe could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Also back in the Bafana fold for the German camp is misfiring Orlando Pirates forward Katlego Mashego, whose inclusion will come as a surprise to many. He has been selected as a midfielder.

From the team that toured South America, Parreira has dropped Thulani Serero, Thulasizwe Mbuyane, Daine Klate, Tlou Segolela and Richard Henyekane.

"The idea of us going to Brazil was to give us shape and also come up with a style of play. We are not yet ready for the World Cup, but I must say we are halfway with our preparations," Parreira said.
