A LIMPOPO Emergency Medical Services senior official has been accused of soliciting sex in exchange for jobs and promotions.

The official, stationed in Louis Trichardt, had allegedly abused his authority by demanding sexual favours from colleagues in exchange for better placements.

Sowetan is in possession of an affidavit made by a paramedic, who claimed the official had demanded sex in exchange for a full-time job.

The paramedic, who may not be named pending an investigation by the provincial department of health and social development, was working as a volunteer at the Makhado station when the official allegedly started making moves on her.

"At some stage he drove with me in a company car to an area near Musina where he parked near the road and started kissing me," said the alleged victim in a statement.

She said it was at night and the official undressed before "unzipping" her pants and started having sex with her.

"He then told me never to tell a single soul.

"He told me to pretend as if nothing had happened when we reached the work station," she said.

"All what I did was go to the toilet and cry because I was emotionally and physically abused by this monster."

Another employee, who also may not be named, said the official had attempted to demand sex from her but she refused and had since been victimised.

The official could not be reached for comment. Departmental spokesperson William Chauke said the matter would be probed.
