"The away goal we scored in Thohoyandou will help us a great deal," said Maleka, who came from the bench in the second half to score the solitary goal.
"Mpumalanga definitely needs a Premiership club. As players we want to make a commitment. It will be a tough match against Leopards, but we want to urge the people of Mpumalanga to rally behind the team."
The overall winner of the second-leg match scheduled for Ackerville Stadium in Witbank tomorrow will be promoted to the Premiership.
Malawian Robert Ng'ambi scored both goals for Leopards. Aces coach Aki Agiomamitis said: "It is up to the players to get a good result. As the technical team we've done our homework, it is up to the players to deliver.
"All the players will be available and we are ready to turn the tables."
His counterpart at Lidoda Duvha, Vladislav Heric, said they will approach the match as if they were not enjoying a lead from the first leg.
"We have only one thing in mind, victory, and are keeping our fingers crossed that injured players Mahlatse Maake and Edward Tshabalala recover before the game."
