Amajita call up Ramabu

KAIZER Chiefs' rising star, Tshegofatso Ramabu, has been included in the Amajita squad for a Four Nations Cup starting in Cape Town today.

KAIZER Chiefs' rising star, Tshegofatso Ramabu, has been included in the Amajita squad for a Four Nations Cup starting in Cape Town today.

Ramabu, from Polokwane in Limpopo, featured in Amakhosi's colours in the inaugural Peter Mokaba Cup.

The other countries participating in the Four Nations Cup are Brazil, Nigeria and Fifa Under-20 world champions Ghana. At Newlands Stadium today, Brazil take on Ghana at 5pm, while Amajita play Brazil at 7pm.

Amajita are fresh from a 2-1 win over Swaziland in the final of the Metropolitan Sharpeville Heroes Tournament in Sedibeng.

Maqsood Chenia, the Amajita caretaker coach, said they would use the tournament as part of their preparations for the 2011 African Youth Championships.

The Amajita squad is: Tawfeeq Salie, Sanele Ngubane, Ismail Stainsiel, Ayanda Ndlovu, Ronald Mohlaka, Choppa Mboweni, Mpho Maruping, Lehlogonolo Masalesa, Ayanda Lubela, Philani Khwela, Tshepo Gumede, Vusumzi Maki, Sheldon Stevens, Lucky Baloyi, Jabulani Ncubeni, Augustine Leonard, Nhlakanipho Khumalo, Menzi Masuku, Tshegofatso Ramabu and Andile Ncabeni.
