wide selection of cars up for grabs in Durban

PARK Village Auctions, which has experienced significant penetration in the car auction market in recent years, is now moving into the Durban arena.

The company has previously presented vehicle auctions in tandem with local auctioneers but now, for the first time, it will stage a Durban vehicle auction in its own right.

The auction takes place on Saturday April 10 commencing at 10.30am at the Absa Stadium, off NMR Avenue. About 200 Absa bank repossessed vehicles will be up for sale.

The inventory includes passenger and commercial vehicles and according to Park Village's specialist vehicle auctioneer, Clive Lazarus, bidders can expect a high standard and a wide selection of vehicle models across the price spectrum. Viewing takes place on Friday April 9 at the auction venue from 9am until 5pm.

"We are looking forward to building our presence in the KZN market which, like the rest of the country, is enjoying huge demand for auction vehicles as the attraction of auction prices and auction quality continues to grow."

Meanwhile, in Johannesburg, Park Village Auctions has a packed April programme beginning on April 7 at the Bank Asset Disposal Centre, Prolecon Rd, Prolecon, Johannesburg South, followed by a sale on April 14 at the Bank Repossession Centre, 221 Main Rd, Martindale; another at Prolecon on April 21 and the final sale of the month also at Martindale on April 28.

Park Village Auctions has emerged as the leading participant in the vehicle auction market adds Lazarus.

This is reflected in the company's significant commitment to technology and storage infrastructure, including a vehicle logistics management system that will be rolled out during the course of the rest of 2010.

Points out Lazarus: "This is the most advanced system of its kind in the country and one that ensures our suppliers of the utmost security and cost-efficient management of their stock while for consumers the news is that it will enable us to handle ever greater numbers of vehicles."
