FUTURE Boxing Promotions boss Reggie Hilman has announced that Wembley Arena will be the venue for Sipho Taliwe to make a voluntary defence of his SA junior lightweight title against Warren Joubert.
Hilman said the fight, which he said could be a humdinger of a national championship, will take place on April 23. The venue has become synonymous with jaw-dropping fights.
"Tsunami" Taliwe from Aliwal North, whose skills are perfected in Gauteng by trainers Benny Pailman, Peter Faver and Cliff Martins, won the title from Jasper Seroka after their energy-sapping 12-rounder in November.
