Struggle songs are about system, not whites

THE hysteria about the singing of a well-known struggle song makes me suspicious of the motives of those behind this frenzy.

The ruling by the high court that the words dubula ibhunu i s unconstitutional is now used as a weapon to erase our history and heritage.

The struggle songs are quoted out of context to spread panic and fear. To suggest that more farmers will be killed is stretching the truth and is an insult to our intelligence.

The struggle song Ayesaba Amagwala does not incite hatred or violence against a particular racial group. The song is about an oppressed people's resolve to fight a repressive regime.

Let us not shout "fire" in a crowded cinema.
