SOWETO taxi owner Vuyiswa Mtenjwa has been hailed as a hero and a man who strove to see other people succeed.
Sjugza, as Mtenjwa was popularly known in the taxi industry, died at the Brenthurst Clinic in Parktown, Johannesburg, on Sunday.
He was admitted to the clinic on Saturday for kidney failure.
Mtenjwa was also co-owner of S3 Funerals.
The undertaker helped Sowetan bury a month-old infant whose body was found in the bushes near Bonane in Vanderbijlpark in April 2008.
Baby Kenosi, as Sowetan named her, was found by Sello Mokhoro while he was cutting grass in Bonane.
The little girl, wrapped in a bundle of rags, was cold and hungry when Mokhoro found her.
Kenosi was taken to hospital where nurses and doctors tried to save her life but she died a few days later.
S3 Funerals co-owner Sipho Makhubu said: "It's a great loss. I learnt a lot from him about running a business.
"He taught me so much. For that I will never forget him."
Mtenjwa's brother, Thami Mtenjwa, said: "He will be remembered for everything he did. He was a wonderful person."
Mtenjwa will be buried on Sunday. The funeral service will be held at the Dlamini Multipurpose Hall at 9am. The cortege will leave for West Park Cemetery at 11am.
Mtenjwa is survived by his wife Anna, two sons and a daughter.
