This is Bafana's biggest test in South America, where they have spent three weeks in their preparations for the World Cup.

They have so far played insignificant friendlies. To date Bafana have played seven matches on their tour, which is believed to have cost cash-strapped Safa in the region of R10million.

They won five matches and drew two. In total Bafana have scored 15 goals. Bafana played against second-string teams and other games against development sides. Striker Katlego Mphela, who is still to score in seven matches, is hoping for a victory against Paraguay.

"We have beaten Paraguay in the past. It will be tough but we are happy that the team is beginning to score goals," said the Mamelodi Sundowns marksman. "I've not scored in Brazil but my work rate has improved.
