Your "advisers" haven't been doing their work properly comrade Malema. I am very disturbed that issues of national interest such as the nationalisation of mines have been clouded by matters of tenderpreneur and allegations of corruption.
I believe in progressive leadership. When people criticised you, I said: "He is not Peter Mokaba, Lulu Johnson, Malusi Gigaba or Fikile Mbalula. He is Julius Malema and must be given a chance to lead the ANCYL."
Recently, however, I find it difficult to defend this position. Arrogance is what brought down powerful leaders such as Thabo Mbeki. You told the country that Mbeki was arrogant and must be recalled. Comrade, don't follow that route. You are not engaging in a mature manner and that has played into the hands of those who challenged your academic standing - white imperialists. In politics, one does not have to be an academic, but being able to articulate views is crucial in winning the support of the learned.
The public spat with Alliance leaders is not helping. Singing songs that we all know are not necessarily provocative, but can also be blown out of proportion, is not helping either. We love the ANC. This tendency has the potential to reduce voters. They won't vote for the opposition, but just won't vote. We need leaders like you who, though militant, will push the interests of the ANC and the country.
