Grim plight

WHILE it is normally expected of fathers to love, protect and provide for their families, two Ekurhuleni siblings are living in fear of theirs.

WHILE it is normally expected of fathers to love, protect and provide for their families, two Ekurhuleni siblings are living in fear of theirs.

Their father is alleged to have cold-bloodedly gunned down their mother before telling the kids to "go and see your dead mother. I have killed her".

What these kids saw happen to their mother is something that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.

Their father is now out in the streets with strict bail conditions. But the children fear he might come for them and do what he did to their mother.

Who can blame them?

They have since fled the comfort of their home, a place they have known since birth.

The lives of these siblings might have been changed forever.

They need all kinds of help and intervention, counselling included.
