THE SA Disability Alliance members have marched to Safa House in protest against the lack of access to 2010 World Cup stadiums for people with disabilities.
Sada chairperson Musi Nkosi yesterday led about 60 disabled people in a protest to voice their dissatisfaction.
Nkosi, who has been negotiating with the Local Organising Committee for the past two years, said: "There is inadequate sitting space for disabled people and accessing the stadium is a challenge."
He also blamed the LOC for not learning from the Confederations Cup when they battled for transport to and from the stadiums
"Gauride was not accessible to us then but today there is still no transport plan."
But LOC spokesperson Rich Mkhondo said they had met almost all Sada's demands.
"Fifa World Cup signage, including signage for disabled fans, will be erected before the tournament as part of the LOC's overlay plans," he said.
Mkhondo added that tickets for the disabled and their helpers were still available.
Jace Nair of the SA National Council for the Blind said they were sent from pillar to post when they wanted to buy tickets for the World Cup.
