THE National Prosecuting Authority's missing person's task team is to exhume the remains of Zinto Albert Cele tomorrow.

Cele was an Umkhonto we Sizwe combatant who formed part of Operation Butterfly - an ANC underground operation of the 1980s in KwaZulu-Natal.

He was also a student at the University of Zululand at the time.

Cele and fellow MK combatant Mandlenkosi Israel Ndimande died on October 24 1985 when a bomb, which was placed at Grosvenor Girls High. exploded prematurely.

NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga said before the exhumation, the Cele family would conduct a ritual at the site of his death - the girls' school at 20 Zinto Cele Road on the Bluff in Durban.
