"There's no apparent reason for the pattern in which we receive cars for auction. This month is a good example as we have four Aston Martins confirmed and are expecting the release of a fifth from one of the banks," says Aucor's MD Shannon Winterstein.
"Over the past few months we have had large numbers of Porsches on the floor and this month there seems to be a dip. We are only expecting a 2006 Cayenne Turbo and will be reselling a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S that was defaulted on."
He says the Aston Martin line-up includes a 2009 DB9 Volante, a 2008 DBS, a 2008 Vantage Roadster and a 2006 Vantage Coupé, with confirmation awaited on a 2008 Vantage Coupe.
The highlight, is a 2006 Morgan, custom-ordered four-seater, which is one of only seven ever built by the Morgan factory. The car is in traditional British racing green with its replacement value in the early millions.
"This is a collector's item. Drivers who understand the rarity of a handmade car in today's age will appreciate this beauty. If ever there was a car for the connoisseur, this is it," Winterstein said. "Anyone wanting to order one from the Morgan factory would probably have to wait for upward of a year for the handcrafted masterpiece, so buyers hankering after this exceptional find should make every effort to attend our auction."
The auction takes place tomorrow at noon at Aucor Midrand - 562 15th Street, Midrand, with viewing the same morning.
