A MPUMALANGA woman was arrested yesterday after the discovery of her boyfriend's body in bushes in the Graskop area on Saturday afternoon.

The woman, who is in her early 30s, allegedly hired three men to kidnap the boyfriend and teach him a lesson by lightly assaulting him. But his abductors allegedly killed him.

She has already confessed to the police that her boyfriend had been abusive.

She claimed he often assaulted her and accused her of seeing other men when he was the one who had a number of girlfriends.

A passer-by called the police to the scene where the body of the boyfriend was discovered in the bushes along the Bushbuckridge-Graskop road on Saturday at about 9am.

"The man was found with two bullet wounds to the chest. We are currently continuing with further investigations," Mpumalanga police organised crime unit spokesman Captain Leonard Hlathi said yesterday.

He said thr msn'd identity would be withheld until his next of kin had been traced.

The arrested woman is from Buffelshoek in Acornhoek. She is expected to appear in the Graskop magistrate's court today.

The man's body is one of a number of bodies discovered in Mpumalanga over the past few days.

Two bodies were found on separate occasions on the South Africa and Mozambique border.

The body of Abel Ngcane, 29, of Langeloop in Tonga near Komatipoort, was discovered at Emagogeni near Schoemansdal last Monday.

Ngcane had allegedly crossed the border at an illegal crossing into Swaziland when he met his fate.

Police said he was found with four bullet wounds.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, the body of a man was found on the same borderline near Jeppes Reef near Schoemansdal on Monday at about 9.30pm.

"The man, believed to be in his early 30s, was found with stab wounds in the neck and buttocks.

His private parts had been burnt beyond recognition.

"He had bruises resembling the effects of a severe assault all over the body. He has a light complexion," Hlathi said.
