Beware Lions and Warriors

IT will be foolhardy for Mpumalanga Black Aces and Black Leopards to underestimate Nathi Lions and African Warriors just because they have no Premiership experience.

IT will be foolhardy for Mpumalanga Black Aces and Black Leopards to underestimate Nathi Lions and African Warriors just because they have no Premiership experience.

Aces and Leopards, the two former Absa Premierships campaigners, will play against the Lions of KwaZulu-Natal and Free State's Warriors in tomorrow's first leg of the promotion playoffs.

Leopards from Venda will welcome Warriors at Tshifulanani Stadium in Thohoyandou at 3.30pm while AmaZayoni from Witbank will host Lions at the Puma Rugby Stadium at 7.30pm.

Aces should expect sturdy resistance from an exciting Lions side that has enterprising players such as Philo Zikalala, Vusi Mazibuko and Thando Mthembu.

Seasoned campaigners like Christopher Netshidzivhe and Peter Mponda should help Leopards against Warriors who boast an array of experienced players such as Abram Nteo, Bulelani Matroos, Keanon Thomas and Jermaine Christian.

The second leg will be played on March 27.
