DOROTHY Langa continued its dominance of the Limpopo version of primary schools competitions.

They beat Mutshezhene 4-3 on penalties to win the provincial Danone Nations Cup in Polokwane on Saturday.

Langa's 12 year old keeper Tsietsi Legwete was hero of the day for his school. He saved one penalty and scored the most important penalty to book a place in the national championship for his school.

The national finals will be played in Johannesburg on May 8 and the champion will represent the country in the International Danone Nations from September 30 to October 3 against 39 other countries.

Langa will join other provincial champions Port Nolloth (Northern Cape), Sada (Eastern Cape) and Phakamani (Western Cape) in two month's time to determine the national winner.

The South African Schools Football Association provincial coordinator, Theo Mhlaka, expressed satisfaction with the day's activities: "I believe that our youth programme in the province is working well judging by the way these youngsters played.

"I noticed some outstanding talent at this young age and I was particularly pleased with the sportsmanship displayed by all teams."
