Ntobeko Kabini apparently became involved in an argument with her 21-year-old boyfriend in Kwaggafontein on Saturday morning, Inspector Sphiwe Lukhele said.
"The couple had just woken up at the home of a friend, whom they were visiting, when the argument started."
The man apparently asked his friend to leave them alone so they could resolve the matter.
"But when his friend left he apparently killed his girlfriend and fled," Lukhele said.
The friend found Kabini's naked body on the bed an hour later. The alleged killer phoned the girl's father and told him he'd killed his daughter.
