Community members held an emotionally charged meeting to discuss the way forward after the gruesome death of Sibongile Setladi, 31, and her children.
The four perished after the shack in which they were sleeping was set alight on Sunday night.
The attacker(s) locked the shack from the outside to prevent occupants from escaping before pouring petrol through a window and setting it alight.
ANC area councillor Jonas Malaka said the villagers wanted a speedy arrest of the culprits.
"It was clear during the meeting that people were angry at what had happened and wanted police to act swiftly and arrest the people responsible for the heinous deeds," Malaka explained.
He said the community had agreed to raise money to help with burial costs for the victims.
The Makhuduthamaga local municipality and the Greater Sekhukhune district municipality will also assist with funeral expenses.
Setladi, her sons Kgopotso, 14, Moloki, 2, and daughter Tsebo, 6, will be buried tomorrow at 7am at the Dikaton cemetery in the village.
Their memorial service was held yesterday at the local Matshumane High School, where Kgopotso was a Grade 8 pupil.
According to Nebo police spokesperson Constable Magdeline Malatjie the search was still on for the suspects.
She said they were appealing to the community to help with information that could assist the police.
