They were protesting ahead of the arrival of the alleged killers - Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye and Themba Tshabalala.

Jub Jub and Tshabalala arrived hours later and were whisked into court under guard.

"If we don't get Jub Jub, we will get his mother," shouted one student.

He said K stood for Kaizer Mntaka, the third member of the group.

"We were planning to form a hip-hop group. Andile loved music," he said.

When Maarohanye and Tshabalala left the court, the pupils hurled stones at them.
