Bollywood set to thrill SA

THE acclaimed Indian musical International Bollywood is coming to South Africa for a brief season.

THE acclaimed Indian musical International Bollywood is coming to South Africa for a brief season.

The high-energy musical will light up the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on April 3 and 4. This glamorous show will thrill local fans with its colourful dancing and singing performances.

The show features Bollywood songstress Sonam Kalra and IndianIdols finalist Mukesh Tomar. The spectacular show boasts wonderful costumes, amazing lighting and vibrant video imagery.

Kalra and Tomar will perform duets and love songs from some of Bollywood's greatest musicians like Shankar Ehsaan Loy, AR Rehman and Anu Malik.

The musical will also add pieces from famous Bollywood films such as Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachhan and Hrithik Roshan to enhance the production.

International Bollywood is choreographed by the talented dancer Gilles Chuyen, a household name in Indian films and theatre.

Kalra, a vocalist whose skill spans both Western and Indian musical traditions, has starred in God's Graves and Grandmothers and has performed to packed audiences. Tomar, born in Delhi, rose to superstardom following his breakthrough in Indian Idols.
