"There is no new information on that (kidnapping). The last I heard the Nigerian government was negotiating for his release," said spokesperson Nomfanelo Kota.
Supersport sound engineer Nick Greyling and two Nigerian colleagues - cameraman Alexander Effiong and commentator Bowie Attamah - were seized from their bus on Monday in the Imo province, near the Oweri airport.
The kidnappers' demands were not known or made public yet.
