SUPPORTERS of IFP national chairperson Zanele Magwaza-Msibi are threatening to sue the Friends of VZ kaMgwaza-Msibi if they continue using her name against the IFP.

The group - who has also been holding prayer sessions for Magwaza-Msibi - has changed its name after she distanced herself from them and called for their disbandment.

The group will now be known as Friends of Unity Change and Democracy. Chairperson, Thokozani Zulu said they changed their name after Magwaza-Msibi said she would sue if her name was used without her permission.

"We will continue with our actions, which is why we changed the name because of the mounting pressure on her to take action against us," Zulu said.

"We know pretty well that the NEC of the IFP will force her tomorrow to respond to what we said when we vowed to continue despite her calling for the group's disbandment.

She had threatened to take legal action against us if we continue using her name in our pursuit for justice. To avoid putting her in a tight spot we have changed our name."

Magwaza-Msibi was not immediately available for comment.
