This leads to a slippery slope. Banning things that some find offensive to their sensibilities belongs to a period we would rather forget. Adults should be entitled to watch pornography .

Banning a porn channel because of the real fear that children might be exposed to it abdicates parents of their responsibility. It is not the State or the broadcaster's responsibility to ensure that our children only access broadcast material that is appropriate for them. It is a responsibility that falls squarely on parents.

DStv must provide mechanisms that enable parents to block channels that parents want to keep away from their children.
