Muravha full of bull, says Machimana

BULLY "Bulldog" Muravha has promised to end the reign of Osborne "Big Daddy" Machimana as national heavyweight champion at Nasrec Arena on Sunday.

BULLY "Bulldog" Muravha has promised to end the reign of Osborne "Big Daddy" Machimana as national heavyweight champion at Nasrec Arena on Sunday.

But Machimana, 32, warned that Muravha was still wet behind the ears at 21, and unlikely to achieve what top fighters like Corrie Sanders had failed to.

"I have no doubt that I will be crowned," Muravha said. "I pray to a living God and he will see me through this fight."

But Machimana warned that God helps those who help themselves.

"You cannot go up against the train and expect God to help you. Bully must first crawl before he can walk. He is abusing the word of God," said the reigning champion.

Their trainers joined the verbal fray on Wednesday after the pre-fight medical at Nasrec.

"Bully is going there just to fetch his belt. I know Osborne like the back of my hand. I know his weaknesses and we will expose him," said trainer George Khosi, whose opposite number, Nick Durandt, shot from the hip.

"The belt you are going there to collect is the one missing below your belly," he said. "Don't say I did not warn you that Bully could be asleep when the belt leaves the ring."

Rainbow Promotions' Pat Molefe presents the fight and the action starts live on SuperSport at 2pm.
