Bamuza Sono rallies teammates

PRESSURE has compelled Bamuza Sono to call on his Jomo Cosmos teammates to give their all going into the last match of the league season.

Cosmos are languishing at the bottom of the league table with 24 points. They are a point below Mpumalanga Black Aces. Sono said the pressure is too much and it could affect the players. His club's last game will be against Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.

"There is tremendous pressure to do well against Moroka Swallows this weekend. It will be difficult against Swallows, especially with Siyabonga Nomvethe doing so well, and we'll have to keep an eye on him," Sono said.

"Young players could crumble under pressure if we are not careful and it's up to us as senior players to talk to them."

He said it was frustrating to do well against big clubs only to falter when faced with lesser teams.

"There are so many games we drew that we should have won, but after our win against Mamelodi Sundowns, we are optimistic that we can do well against Swallows and hopefully the result in Cape Town (Ajax Cape Town and Mpumalanga Black Aces) will go our way."
