DISCOVERY Holdings grew interim profit as it took market share from competitors in health-care and life assurance, and two of its start-ups made significant progress.

DISCOVERY Holdings grew interim profit as it took market share from competitors in health-care and life assurance, and two of its start-ups made significant progress.

In the six months ending December, total new business for the group jumped 16percent to R3,24billion.

Headline earnings a share rose 54percent to R755million.

Operating profit rose 49percent to R1,184billion for the group. -Adele Shevel
