David Kau, John Vlismas, Tumi Morake, Barry Hilton, Marc Lottering, Chris Forrest, Nik Rabinowitz, Trevor Noah, Darrell "Whackhead" Simpson and Ndumiso Lindi have all signed up.
All except Noah, Hilton and Lottering attended the press conference held at the Nelson Mandela Foundation offices in Houghton, Johannesburg, yesterday, where the line-up was announced.
It was also announced that the international campaign, which initially used music to raise funds for HIV and Aids, would now expand its scope to include issues of social justice.
The first Social Injustice Is No Joke: Comedy Intervention gig is at the Sun City Superbowl on Saturday.
This campaign will later go international, performing in London at a date still to be determined.
Organised by 46664 in partnership with Real Concerts, this initiative will use social commentary to highlight social injustice and to raise funds for the Nelson Mandela charity organisations.
And just to give a taste of what these top comics will deliver on Saturday, the press conference was punctuated by interesting exchanges.
For example, when Vlismas complained that the annual Blacks Only comedy festival, organised by Kau, was discriminatory Forrest instead if Kau responded
"I have participated in the festival. Perhaps what is needed is to put in more weight," said Forrest, who is huge and white.
Vlismas is also white and pencil-thin.
Noting that she was the only woman comic selected in the top 10 to participate in the first series of the comedy festival, Morake said: "It is good to be the only chick. At least I will have all the men for myself for the night at Sun City."
