MOROKA Swallows believe they can fly away with the three points at their home base, Dobsonville Stadium, where they host Platinum Stars in an Absa Premiership match today.

The match is one of the seven Premiership clashes billed for tonight, all kicking off at 7.30pm.

The Birds are desperate for a win to consolidate their eighth spot on the log - and the final place in next season's MTN8 competition - and a win will go a long way to seeing off the strong challenge from ninth-placed Maritzburg United.

Dinaledi, on the other hand, are 11th on the table and their chances of making the top eight look slim.

"We are ready for Stars and nothing will stop us from beating them on our own turf," said Swallows defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

"We can't afford to lose this match because we know what the defeat will do to our aspirations to qualify for the top eight. It will be a tough one because Stars have been going through a bad patch, but we won't allow their current form to mislead us because they have some of the best players in the PSL."

Stars' enterprising winger Joseph Molangoane said: "Swallows are a big side but we are not scared of them. We still have a chance to make it to the top eight and so we don't want to drop a single point from our remaining two matches."

lAt Loftus in Pretoria, Kaizer Chiefs will play for pride against a desperate Mpumalanga Black Aces side after Amakhosi dropped out of the African Champions League race. Aces are expected to go all out to avoid automatic relegation.

l At Charles Mopeli Stadium in QwaQwa Free State Stars need nothing less than a win against Maritzburg United as they also find themselves in the wrong half of the table.

lChatsworth Stadium in Durban is the venue for a Lamontville Golden Arrows-Ajax Cape Town match that could go either way.
